Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is an honor. Each member has been singled out as a recognized leader in business, industry or a profession in the community. The strength of Altrusa membership comes from its diversity -- its ability to mirror a community's commercial and professional strengths. Diversity is assured by the classification each business executive or professional holds and by the limit placed on the number of members in each classification.

Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is by invitation only from a club based in the local community.

Our Mission

The mission of Altrusa International is to promote community service by an international network of executives and professionals in diversified career classifications. Within that framework, District Three provides the necessary support and administrative structure for the clubs of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Georgia.

Organization Profile

Membership of Altrusa International, Inc. is 12,472 women and men in 426 Altrusa Clubs as of June 2003. there are clubs in nineteen countries, which are grouped in 15 districts.

Altrusa International’s continuous projects are in the field of literacy. In addition, Club 21 sponsors children with AIDS/HIV at Camp Safe Haven.

District Three covers Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina and has over 1100 members in 33 clubs.
