Elections for the 2011 - 2013 District Three Leadership will take place at the 2011 Conference in Concord, NC. Nominations are now open to District Three Altrusans who are interested in serving.
To be eligible for a District office, except the office of Treasurer, the candidate must have completed one full term as club president or be serving as club president at the time of the election. In accordance with District By-Laws, a candidate for Treasurer must have served a term as President or as Treasurer of an Altrusa club or be serving as the same at the time of the election and also have general accounting knowledge or experience.
District Officers
All elected officers are elected by ballot at the
Conference in the odd numbered years from a slate prepared by the
Nominating Committee.
Any candidate who shall receive a majority of all valid votes cast shall be declared elected. In the event there are more than two (2) candidates for any one office, and no candidate receives the majority of all valid votes cast on the second ballot, the candidate receiving the least number of votes is eliminated from each succeeding ballot.
A completed Nomination Form along with a photo of the candidate must be received by Christy Bryant, Nominating Committee Chair by August 15, 2010.
