Altrusa's Emblem

The current emblem has been in use since 1949. The polar view of the world symbolizes the organization's scope and interest. Our first emblem had an outline of the western hemisphere in the center, with the word "Altrusa" over the design, with our motto: "Patriotism, Efficiency and Service" in an outer circle. In 1935, when the first club was chartered in Mexico, the countries were filled in. In 1949, the word "Altrusa" was removed from the center circle and another circle was added to include our name:
